The panel to manage shortcuts is not displayed

During the installation process of my application, the panel to manage shortcuts on the desktop or at the start menu is not displayed. It involves two things:
The user does not have the choice of shortcuts that he wants to install.
The shortcuts configured by default do not install.

Windows 10 pro 64 bit
Generation of the installation by ANT

Glad it helps
It’s something we could address directly in the code, I’ll look for a solution and send a pull request if it works.
Thank you for your report !

Thanks a lot for your help. It works. Indeed, it was indeed a problem of encoding the XML file.
Thank you to you and good luck.

About this issue, it seems to be caused by your XML files encoding (
The UTF-8-BOM encoding adds a character at the very beginning of the file, which is, I suppose, the one your setup can't read.

Can you build and try your setup with your shortcutSpec.xml files re-encoded in UTF-8-without-BOM ?

Thank you for taking the time to look at my problem.
I do not know what does not work in the ShortCut Specs file.

If you need information in addition to the attached files, do not hesitate to ask me.

I tried to launch the given DAODesign_Install_1.2.0_Free.jar, and the following error is printed on console output when the ShortcutPanel has to be displayed :

ERROR: 'Content is not allowed in prolog.'

ERROR: 'Contenu non autorisé dans le prologue.'

I have no idea yet of the meaning , I will be able to take a look later. It sounds that there's something wrong in your shortcut specs, but I might be wrong.
Hope it helps a bit.
