Uninstaller does not uninstalls anything on linux and logs “Phase 3 return value = 1”

Description

I am using izpack v5.0.6 to generate an installer for deploying my jar in windows-7 and ubuntu-16.04. Installer works perfectly on both windows and ubuntu but uninstaller seems to work only on windows system. On running the uninstaller on ubuntu, it generates a log file that has the following content.

I tried running it as sudo as well as sudo -su but got no results. I then changed the version to 5.1.2 but am still getting the same issue. BTW, I am building the installer on windows 7 itself, if that matters.

Steps to produce:
1. Create installer using v5.0.6 and install the product on an ubuntu 16.04.
2. Uninstall the same.

Environment

Ubuntu 16.04LTS

Check whether the uninstaller removes the JDK running the uninstaller/the uninstaller files while still active. I just created a separate Bug for that issue.
